The chippies closer to home have gone down hill lately, so thought I'd try here because of the reviews, took about 10 mins or so to drive back with the food and it was still better than the one's 2 mins away. Chips where good and well impressed with the fish, will definitely be back.

This really is the best chippy for miles. This was our second visit here today. I have tried many chippies in the area, none of come close. The staff are also so so lovely 😊! I forgot they did not accept cards, so they pointed me in the direction to a post office. I also had a lovely chat with the lovely lady working there. Even my son said this is the best chippy. The large literally cod melted in our mouths. Thanks again :)

Even though they forgot a couple of bits in the delivery, they made up for it with their service reaction, the food is good, service very good and can be forgiven for a little mistake that can happen anywhere, it's not just about the food but it's also the service and I will definitely use this place again, it's also my daughters favourite takeaway.

Fish was cooked to order and was asked when I joined the queue if I wanted fish so it could be put on to fry. Chips could have done with a couple of minutes extra as very anemic and 'soggy' plus the vinegar was poured on rather than a few splashes, and because of this I have given it four rather than five stars. The fact the staff were jovial and chatty helped while the time whilst waiting for the food to cook. Not bad, and fills the need for a chippy tea, but just a little more attention to detail to make it perfect.

Best chippy we've had in St. Helens. Arrived a few minutes before closing and they were more than happy to fry off two fish for us with short notice. You know how you worry about getting chips just before closing as you might get the scrappy bits at the end? I needn't have worried. They were the best chips we've had locally by far. Great taste and not at all greasy as chips go. Large chips are as described, large. Some say large but serve you a portion not fit for a between adult. Not here. Fish was lovely too. Good crisp batter and a good size. The place looks clean, tidy and well managed. Two workers were very friendly as well. Worth a drive even.

Moved to the area 3 years ago and with this chippy being around the corner to me, I thought let's give it a try and I was not disappointed. Fish....amazing....chips....amazing (food overall)....service very fast and friendly and good pricing also. I have been in recently and they have limited numbers inside to only 3 people with masks being an essential wear so covid secure and safe. You MUST try this place! Honestly cannot fault the orders, ever, over the last 3 years so well done and keep up the great work 👍
